| In this combination you will also join a seperate two hour tour to visit our Tuna farm in Boston Bay! Swim with these magnificent fish and hand feed them from our purpose built pontoon! Why not take a look at the fish from our underwater viewing tunnel as well as learn the intimate workings of this industry that has put Port Lincoln on the map! |
Hopkins Island is a beautiful natural reserve and we do not have access to the beach. This helps preserve this Australian Sea Lion colony and we do not disturb their haul out site. The water is a safe 2m in depth and all swimmers feel comfortable in the clear water with sand below. We ask that customers bring suitable clothing for sun protection and sun cream. However we ask that sun cream is not applied if swimming with the Sea Lions and Tuna. We are unsure of how sun cream affects the animals.
Note: To swim with the Sea Lions you MUST have basic swimming skills and be a confident ocean swimmer. We only swim off the back of the boat and do not set foot on the Island as it is a natural reserve. When you first enter the water it is 2m deep, however if you swim 50m you can actually stand. Please keep this in mind when making your booking. |
